Newly Designed Meijer Gas Station and Convenience Store

Meijer opened a newly-designed convenience store and gas station on August 28. The new 5,500-square-foot convenience store is adjacent to the retailer's Grand Rapids, Mich.-based headquarters. It will be he first Meijer gas station to include a separate full-service Starbucks. The store will also include an expanded assortment of fresh produce and protein-based snacks, wraps, fruit, and organic items, as well as grab-and-go meals prepared locally by Superior Foods.

  • Walker Gas Station

    A customer check outs at the new Meijer gas station and convenience store in Grand Rapids, Mich. The store features an expanded assortment of freshly-prepared foods includes sushi made daily; hot selections, such as hand-crafted pizzas and chicken tenders; and locally-prepared donuts delivered daily.

    Meijer added a “beer cave”, to the new 5,500-square-foot convenience store, that features popular craft and national brews, and an expansive cold and on-shelf wine assortment. 

  • Walker Gas Station 3

    The newly-designed convenience store and gas station offers a self-serve coffee station and large fountain bar with cold-brew coffee, frozen coffee and F’real Shakes selections. Also available is a large seating area with free Wi-Fi and phone-charging stations. 

  • Walker Gas Station 4

    18 fuel pumps are available at the new gas station, a 50-percent increase over Meijer's previous gas station format. Expanded fuel options include Diesel and an E85 selection. Tesla and other electric car-charging stations are set to open later this year.
