Michigan-based Meijer Inc. has announced plans to add seven new stores in 2017, including two in Indiana. The company says it will invest around $50 million to build the supercenters in McCordsville and Franklin, which will create a total of approximately 600 jobs. The new stores are part of a more than $375 million effort which includes the remodeling of 22 existing stores as well. The other new stores will be located in Wisconsin as well as the company's first stores in Michigan's upper peninsula.
