The West Ohio Food Bank is teaming up with Meijer to put food in the hands of students.

It’s that time of year where kids all over West Michigan are headed back to school and with that means back to school shopping! Meijer is the perfect place to go for anything and everything they’ll need, from a first day of school outfit to a brand new backpack, you can’t go wrong at Meijer. They have all the hottest trends to get your child off to a great start for their new school year!

Meijer is giving a peek at what awaits customers when the Michigan-based retailer and grocer opens its newest concept store early next year at Woodward Corners in Royal Oak. Expect 25-foot-high ceilings and an open, airy concept.

It's a time of joy (for parents) and sorrow (for students). The summer holiday is coming to an end. Teachers and students are looking ahead to the struggle of wills that is school. 

The Strike Out Hunger campaign at Progressive Field raised $50,000 this weekend, exceeding the Greater Cleveland Food Bank’s goal of $40,000.
