    Meijer will open its tenth Wisconsin superstore at 7 a.m. on May 17 in Grand Chute. The new 195,000-square-foot supercenter, at the northwest corner of Interstate 41 and Richmond Street/State 47, will sell groceries plus apparel, electronics and general merchandise. It will have a pharmacy, garden center and separate gas station/convenience store.

    Meijer's commitment to offer local products spans beyond beer and produce. Jackson County's Indian Brook Trout Farm, 5883 W. Michigan Ave., begins distributing fish to Meijer later this month. Doubling production to 300,000 pounds of rainbow trout this year, President Owen Ballow said the farm is ready for the challenge.

    Volunteer registration is now open to help out at the 2018 Meijer LPGA Classic for Simply Give, which will be held June 12-17, at Blythefield Country Club. The Meijer LPGA Classic needs the help of more than 700 volunteers to fill roles on 22 different committees, ranging from marshals and standard bearers to transportation and assisting inside the media center.

The new partnership means the retailer and its 235 stores will be the exclusive store to carry product from Indian Brook Trout Farm in Jackson. The farm is the nation’s only best aquaculture practices, or BAP, certified aquaculture facility, which means its new processing plant operates in the most responsible and sustainable manner.

    Tickets to the 2018 Meijer LPGA Classic for Simply Give are now available online. The golf tournament will be held held June 12 through 17 at Blythefield Country Club in Belmont, Mich. In addition, The Grand Taste will return to this year's tournament week lineup June 15 through 17. Tickets will include food and beverage samples from participating local restaurants, breweries and Meijer vendors and general admission access to the golf tournament.
